Telephone Service:
All of Jefferson County gets phone service from
US West. The companies customer service number is 1-800-244-1111.
Garbage:
Madras Sanitary picks up garbage from most
county residents (541) 475-2071. Madras
Sanitary also operates a recycling facility at its business
location, 1778 NW Mill Street in the Industrial Park.
Residents can haul their own trash and clippings to the county landfill (off Grizzly road) Friday through Tuesday for a minimum charge of $7 for 200 pounds.
Warm Springs residents should call the Tribal Utility at 553-3246.
Electricity:
Pacific Power is the primary supplier of
electricity for citizens of Jefferson County and it can be
reached at (541) 475-6166. Central Electric Co-op also provides
services at (541) 475-3266, as does Wasco Electric at (541)
296-2740.
Gas:
Gas hookups are available through Cascade
Natural Gas at 1-800-422-7559.
Sewer:
Sewer services are provided at the city level.

Water:
The primary supplier of water is Deschutes
Valley Water at (541) 475-3849. Information on City of Madras

Television:
Cable service is provided to much of the county
through Crestview Cable at (541) 475-2969. Jeffer4son County TV
Inc. provides a UHF signal for residents using antennas and information on the company may be obtained by calling (541)
546-3451. Warm Springs and some rural areas in the county receive
wireless cable service through American Telecasting at (541)
382-4031.
