NARFE

National Association of Retired Federal Employees

Headquartered in Washington, DC, NARFE sponsors and supports legislation and administrative regulations beneficial to present and future federal civilian retirees; it vigorously opposes those which would be detrimental. Nearly 500,000 NARFE members are organized into more than 1,700 chapters and 53 state and territorial federations.

Through NARFE-PAC, the Association's powerful Political Action Committee, NARFE enjoys considerable influence. As a national service project, NARFE has collected almost $4,000,000 for Alzheimer's research.

Membership is open to civilians with at least five years vested service in any agency of the Federal or DC governments, including Retirees, Employees, Former Employees, spouses and surviving spouses of persons eligible to join NARFE.

Central Oregon Chapter 213 meets every third Friday, March through November, at the Senior Center in Redmond, except for a noon picnic at
