There are a total of 26 people employed by the city of Madras. The Madras Public Works Department has nine full-time employees.

The Planning Commission meets on the first Tuesday of very month at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers next to Madras City Hall.

A city administrator oversees the everyday management of city affairs, and the treasurer is responsible for management of city finances.

A Mayor and six Madras City Council members are responsible for operation of the city government. The council meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the City Council Chambers next to Madras City Hall, at 71 S/W. D St. City Hall can be reached at (541) 475-2344.
