The Public Works Director supervises an office staff and crew of 23 workers with the assistance of a Road Forman.

The road department is responsible for maintaining the county's road system by doing road repairs and improvements, weed control, and installing traffic control signs.

The crew also does snow removal, graveling, and maintains the Box Canyon Landfill, Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, and Juniper Hills Park.

They are also in the process of converting the land fill to a transfer station where garbage will be transported out of the area.
